Hello there! I’m Alex. I live and work in Putney, SW15. If you’ve ever wandered down the High Street on a sunny afternoon or popped into the Tried & True coffee shop for a flat white, there’s a good chance we’ve crossed paths (or maybe shared a nod over our mutual love for this charming corner of South West London).
Design isn’t just what I do—it’s woven into the fabric of who I am. Ever since I was a kid rearranging my bedroom furniture (much to my parents’ amusement), I’ve been fascinated by how spaces can shape our experiences and emotions. Fast forward a few years, and here I am, turning that passion into a career that lets me help others create homes they truly love.
I believe that good design strikes a balance between beauty and practicality. It’s all well and good having a kitchen that looks like it’s straight out of a glossy magazine, but if it takes ages to clean or doesn’t suit your lifestyle, what’s the point? (Trust me, nobody has time for that.) That’s why I focus on creating spaces that are not only stylish but also effortless to maintain—because life’s too short to be scrubbing grout lines on a Saturday morning!
When I’m not sketching out design concepts or sourcing that perfect piece of furniture, you’ll likely find me experimenting with new recipes in my own kitchen (currently obsessed with homemade sourdough) or strolling through local art galleries in search of inspiration. I have a soft spot for modern art and a growing collection of houseplants that I’m desperately trying to keep alive.
This blog is my little corner of the internet where I share insights, tips, and a fair few musings on all things interior design. From practical advice on designing low-maintenance spaces to exploring the latest trends and innovations, my goal is to make design accessible and enjoyable for everyone. After all, your home should be a place that brings you joy—not another item on your to-do list.
So, whether you’re planning a full home makeover or just looking for a bit of inspiration, I’m here to help. Feel free to reach out if you fancy a chat about your next project or even just to share your own design stories. I’m always up for a coffee and a good natter about all things creative.
Cheers to making spaces that feel like home!
Warm regards,
Alex
